The Community Housing & Development Department facilitates affordable housing development in collaboration with the Planning and Building Department. The Department also works with developers to ensure their projects adhere to the City’s inclusionary housing requirements. The requirements for the City's inclusionary housing can be found here.
Publicly owned lands anticipated for development with affordable housing include:
1201 Grove Street (design underway)
To help achieve our community’s housing goals, the City has partnered with Pacific West Communities to design and construct a 25-unit affordable family housing development at 1201 Grove Street. Project amenities include 24-hour onsite management, a community room, community garden area, laundry facility, play area, tenants’ services and associated parking and landscaping.
